Authlogics Launches Secure Document Authentication with PINgrid

AuthentiDoc Encrypts Confidential Files with a One-Time Code Using a Simple Pattern

BRACKNELL, UK, 28th February 2017 – Authlogics today launched AuthentiDoc, an innovative new Secure Document Authentication solution, based on its award-winning PINgrid technology. The software enables any Microsoft Office, PDF or ZIP file to be securely encrypted, sent and decrypted by the authorised recipient, using a simple One Time Code (OTC).

To secure a document the creator/sender uses the AuthentiDoc software to quickly encrypt the file/s before sending. When the recipient receives the message, and attempts to open the document they use a PINgrid challenge (a six-by-six grid number grid) together with their pattern to derive a OTC which will decrypt and open the document. To decrypt and access the document the recipient simply enters the OTC into the application that is used to open the file – no additional client side software is required.

AuthentiDoc is ideal for securely sharing for-your-eyes-only documentation digitally, whether it is bank statements, invoices and financial agreements, contracts, insurance certificates, medical records, legal documents etc. The user may want to use this document management software in conjunction with another (like this – https://www.filecenterdms.com/info-document-scanning-software.html) that allows for the digitization of paper documents so that they can be accessed from a computer or other digital device. Crucially, the solution does not require an Internet connection, so once the document/file has been downloaded it can be accessed whenever and wherever they choose, using PINgrid each time to decrypt the file.

Furthermore, AuthentiDoc can be used to identify a user over the phone to a call centre, by embedding a PINgrid watermark with a document which is unique to the document. This is a very low cost analogue OTC system for companies who already email or post out paperwork.

CEO of Authlogics, Steven Hope explains: “The AuthentiDoc solution is ideal for any organisation that wants to ensure confidential and sensitive information is only seen by the intended recipient. It is easy to deploy, works with all major file types and is intuitive for those both encrypting and decrypting documents.”

Hope adds: “With so much focus in 2017 on being GDPR compliant, this is an easy to implement, low cost measure that organisations can introduce right now, that will instantly improve the privacy of data that is being shared digitally and demonstrate that they are taking information security seriously.”
